The many benefits of experience and exposure to the arts from a young age is undeniable. The arts is so often referred to as being absolutely essential, as being “life - enhancing " and this could not be more true for theatre and drama. Theatre and drama being used to educate is also by no means a new concept. For many years theatre practitioners and educators alike will agree that theatre can be much more than just entertainment. It is also a valuable learning tool and can arguably be used to help teach almost anything. Theatre can be seen to help develop conflict resolution and critical thinking skills as well as teaching people about cultural sensitivity. There is also research and evidence to support the many benefits of using theatre and drama to teach a second language to any age group.
